International (Yeah: Lots of it)

I always watch international beauty contests in the hope that our very own grab the crown and outshine lots of countries. But year after year, disappointment mounts after another. At least, we had a glimpse of hope last year in Miss Universe, when Philippines was called all the way to the final 5 (apparently, I think it has nothing to do with her beauty. You ask why? That was the only year when text votes were included in scoring, hehe). Hay, talaga, ang Pinoy. Sa world records, Philippines is the texter's capital of the world, because tayo ang pinakamaraming naisesend na SMS in a day. Lalo pa naman, may unlimited (extended yata) at pasa-load (peace po) pa, walang ganyan sa ibang countries. Inaawardan nga tayo, take note internationally ha, for mobile innovations dahil sa mga ganyan. Pero, the day I missed a beauty contest was the day that we won (may balat yata ako). Lara Quigamann won Ms. International, besting 50 other countries. It's about time, medyo nakakairita na kasi ang daily news about quarreling politicians, we need a breath of fresh air. Same thing, about two weeks ago, when Pacquiao TKO'ed his opponent. You know, malaking kahihiyan sa kalaban niya ang pagkatalo, kasi dalawang segundo na lang dapat mag-eend na ang round, hindi pa niya nakayanan. All the more for us to celebrate. What can I say? Ang galing niya! Nakalusot! Kahit na, I'm sure, HINDI MANGYAYARI YUN! I'm beginning to understand why GMA is reserving the biggest of the bulk to military, much more than education or health. And speaking of CNN, I'm following their news reports on the hurricane Katrina. You know what, parang Pinas. For US, the most powerful country in the world, malaking kahihiyan iyon. Why I am I writing this? It's obvious that GMA is emulating the US government. Enough of "GMA". It's quite sickening. I was googling for PBB stuff and chanced upon lots of PBB forum sites. Take note, mga international sites sila. I've posted some of 'em in one of my posts. View niyo sa web na lang. GMA seeked to challenge ABS from all places. They tried Cebu and failed. They launched Pinoy TV abroad at wala pa rin. And if you want more disappointments, medyo kalungkot rin at medyo flop ang album ni Jasmine Trias, at natalo si Mig Ayesa sa RockStar:INXS. Medyo hindi rin napansin si Cesar Montano sa The Great Raid. Pero, dahil matatapos na ako, I don't want to end this article in disappointment.
